Anodes are used for the purpose of introducing electrical current and/ or replenishing the metal ions in the plating bath. The stems of all anodes may be bent to hand on the edge of the beakers. There are two types of anodes: Soluble- Copper, nickel, and silver anodes dissolve into the bath, replacing metal ions as they are deposited onto the work piece during plating. Inert- Our stainless steel and platinum- clad anodes do not disolve in the plating bath. Prices of anodes will fluctuate due to metal market prices.
